Justice Cup Stays in Jackson County
Jackson County Bar Association, March 2016
Jackson County is the recipient of the Justice Cup of The Lawyers’ Campaign for Equal Justice for the third year in a row.
The Jackson County Campaign for Equal Justice (CEJ) steering committee reported that over 42 percent of the lawyers in Jackson County made contributions to the Campaign.
Dominic Campanella and Tracy McGovern congratulated the Campaign committee. Campanella wrote, “Thanks to your hard work, Jackson County raised more money for the Campaign than ever before. At last count, we contributed or pledged $27,234. That’s almost $3,000 more than last year. 42.95% of Jackson County lawyers participated, which is another record.”
The CEJ committee thanked Eric Foster for his help over the years and announced that Hilary Zamudio has agreed to join the CEJ committee.
Oregon lawyers established the Campaign for Equal Justice in 1991, with the mission of making equal access to justice a reality for all Oregonians. Statewide legal aid organizations encourage your support through CEJ. CEJ is the support arm of Oregon’s legal aid programs.
In the past 24 years, CEJ has raised more than $24 million in its annual fund drive.
This is the fifth year that the Oregon State Bar and the Campaign for Equal Justice have joined together to recognize regions with outstanding support for legal aid and access to justice.
